A Personal Invitation from Lynne

I’ve been running since I was a freshman in high school getting in shape for tennis. That was over 30 years ago!!! Since that time from high school through college in Boston to my Navy days and now, I’ve gone from being a person who runs to being a runner….

Starting with my 1st “Back of the Pack” Boston marathon in 1992, I’ve run 11 marathons (for fun!) and numerous 5k through half marathons. I’ve always been pretty fortunate to be injury-free until about 2 years ago. It was then that journey changed to not running due to injury

In those 2 years, I struggled with overcoming pain in both my left and right knees. I also dealt with all of the doubts and concerns that came along with not feeling like a runner any more… What happened? What could I do? Should running hurt this much? Is it really old age? What about my running friends? Why does it look like other people can run and not hurt? Am I really done running?

Eventually I decided and believed that I could run again! And I am just so grateful for the gift of running and looking forward to what else could be possible!

Though I have been working with runners as a physical therapist and coach for over 7 years, it took overcoming my own running trials to truly learn how I can best help others..
